📍 Disneyland · Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street USA & Rivers of America

The crown jewel of the 70th. Projection mapping on the castle, Main Street buildings, Rivers of America, AND it's a small world — plus fireworks. Characters from across Disney Animation Studios history light up the park.
🥇 Best View: Main Street hub, directly in front of the Partners statue, facing the castle. Arrive 30–45 min early for a front curb spot.
🥈 Alternative: it's a small world mall (left side, near the fence) — less crowded, spectacular projections on the facade, and you still get fireworks overhead.
🥉 Insider: Stand on the LEFT side of the castle (facing it). Most people crowd right. Projections wrap both sides — left side gives more breathing room.
⚡ Pro Tip: On windy nights, Disney cancels the fireworks but still runs projections. The projection-only show is still incredible, and crowds thin fast when fireworks cancel — hold your spot! Extended through August 20, 2026 — your dates are confirmed.

The brand-new 70th Anniversary edition of World of Color! Hosted by Joy and the Inside Out emotions, with a hilarious Muppets pre-show, fountains, lasers, fire, and a Boyz II Men "Rainbow Connection" finale that'll hit you right in the feels. 9/10 from the critics.
🥇 Best View: Front and center in the standard viewing area — arrive 45–60 min early. The show is designed for head-on viewing.
🥈 Dining Package: Book a World of Color dining package at Wine Country Trattoria or Carthay Circle — great meal + reserved viewing section with minimal waiting. Book 60 days ahead (that's now!).
🥉 Insider: LEFT side of the viewing area (facing the water, near the Gelato stand) gives slightly better projection angles. Stand near the rail.
⚡ Pro Tip: Front 2 rows WILL get wet. If Annie doesn't mind, front row is pure magic. If not, rows 3–5 are the sweet spot. Bring a poncho or embrace the mist.

Mickey's imagination runs wild on the Rivers of America. Dragon, princesses, villains, steamboat finale. A Disneyland classic — not a 70th show but running during your visit.
🥇 Best View: Center-left of the viewing area, halfway up the terraced standing area near Haunted Mansion. Elevated view catches everything.
🥈 Dining Package: Blue Bayou or River Belle Terrace dining package for reserved seating. River Belle has a premium option with actual chairs — great for Annie.
🥉 Insider: Two shows most nights. The second showing is always less crowded. Have dinner in New Orleans Square, then stroll over 20 min before showtime.
⚡ Pro Tip: If you're doing Wondrous Journeys AND Fantasmic! on the same night, catch Fantasmic! second showing after fireworks. Walk west from Main Street through Frontierland — 5 min walk, timing works perfectly.

Paint the Night ✨ 70th Anniversary

The legendary electric parade is BACK for the 70th. Over 1.5 million LED lights, Mack from Cars, Elsa's ice palace float, and Sorcerer Mickey leading the finale. This is the one that makes adults cry happy tears. Annie will lose her mind.
🥇 Best View: Main Street, USA — curbside LEFT side (facing castle). Characters interact more on the left. Claim your curb 20–30 min early.
🥈 Alternative: it's a small world mall — much less crowded than Main Street, and the floats are equally stunning up close here.
⚡ Pro Tip: The second showing (10:45 PM) is significantly less crowded. Ride headliners during the first parade, then catch the second one. Since this is at NIGHT, the LED effects are absolutely breathtaking. This is a don't-miss.

Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! 🎊 70th Anniversary

The 70th Anniversary daytime parade at DCA! Eight colorful floats, 2 dozen+ Pixar characters — Joy & Sadness, Luca & Alberto, Joe Gardner from Soul, and more. High-energy dancing and the "Celebrate Happy" earworm.
🥇 Best View: Paradise Pier area near Goofy's Sky School — good sightlines, less crowded than Hollywood Land.
⚡ Pro Tip: This runs during the DAY at DCA, making it a perfect complement to Paint the Night at DL. Plan to be in DCA for the afternoon parade, then hop to DL for the evening.

The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade ✨ 70th Anniversary

A shorter, upbeat character cavalcade with Goofy & Max in 70th attire, Duffy & ShellieMay (rare characters!), and friends dancing along to the Jonas Brothers "Celebrate Happy" anthem. Not a full parade — more of a rolling party.
⚡ Pro Tip: This is a cavalcade, not a full parade — it moves through the park quickly. Check the app for route times. Great for catching Duffy & ShellieMay, who are otherwise very hard to meet!

The sleeper hit of the 70th! A love letter to Disneyland — projection mapping on it's a small world that brings 70 years of attractions and memories to life in Mary Blair's iconic style. Shorter than Wondrous Journeys but just as emotional.
🥇 Best View: Directly in front of it's a small world, center. Arrive 10–15 min early.
⚡ Pro Tip: This runs after dark on the small world facade. If you're at DL for Wondrous Journeys, swing by small world afterward — Tapestry of Happiness often runs right after the fireworks clear. 10/10 for what it is.
